The Expedition SUV provides a comfortable upright position, ideal for commuting and long-distance rides. Its wide tires and suspension fork absorb bumps well. The Panasonic GX Ultimate motor, with a peak power of 600W and 95 Nm of torque, handles steep hills and headwinds effortlessly.
Panasonic GX Ultimate – High-End Power!
The Panasonic GX Ultimate motor powers both models. Delivering 250–600W of power and 95 Nm of torque, it beats the Bosch CX Gen 4 in strength. The motor is centrally integrated, and the 1080 Wh battery allows for up to 200 km of range. Its riding modes are easy to use, with "Auto" mode being especially efficient for long trips, conserving battery while delivering optimal assistance.
Panasonic GX Ultimate vs. BOSCH Performance CX – Which is Better?
The Panasonic GX Ultimate offers a significant advantage over the BOSCH Performance CX with its higher 95 Nm torque—ideal for steep climbs and challenging trails. It also provides a peak output of 600W versus Bosch’s 340W. The Panasonic's battery integration allows a longer 200 km range, compared to Bosch’s 120 km max. Its assist modes are also more efficient and user-friendly, making it the superior choice for demanding e-bike users.
Conclusion: SUV or MTB – What Should You Choose?
The Ecobike Mauler is a typical e-mountainbike hardtail suited for mountain leisure rides and handling demanding singletracks. The Expedition SUV, on the other hand, is a versatile e-bike SUV offering comfort and utility for daily use and extended tours. Both are powered by the robust Panasonic GX Ultimate motor and large batteries for long-distance performance.
